Ecu problems

I have a 2002 honda civic ex I bout cheap awhile ago, from what I searched up its supposed to have a d17a2 vtec engine but has a non vtec d17a1 engine. It loses power when accelerating, especially when trying to merge on the highway. Has codes for vtec and o2 sensor. After research my conclusion is they didnt change the ecu. I'm also sure they didn't change the harness either. Does it matter what ecu I use as long as it's non vtec?

Re: Ecu problems

2003+ uses wideband o2 sensors, you will need for 01-02
