Horn doesn't sound when I dbl click my fob
Hey guys, I know my car alarm works cuz I've accidentally hit the panic button in my pocket quite a few times, but I don't hear the horn when I try to arm it, does it still arm or no? Is there a way to fix this?

My 05 had a single wire leading to the hood status switch.... on top it had a connector that could be used to disconnect/isolate the hood switch for testing.

Read up on “valet mode”. If the system got switched into that setting it would behave as your describing.
Basically you “disarm” the system and then stick the key in, pull it out, stick it back in, pull it out and stick it back in all within a few seconds.
Not something you typically could trigger by accident, but if your extra fiddly, maybe.
