Serpentine tensioner

Serpentine belt squeals when starting the car. I have adjusted the tension using the butterfly bolt numerous times. That fixes it for a while and it returns. I want to replace the belt finally. Looking at youtube videos, they talk about a tensioner bolt but never really point out where it is located or actually show it in the video. I have the old Haynes manual I purchased years ago when we first received the car. The manual also talks about a tensioner bolt.

Can anyone please help me locate this bolt so I can replace this belt?

obvious question, but have you loosened the other bolts first?

see if you find something here:

Yes, I loosened the other bolts first. It usually works for a little while, couple of weeks sometimes a month another. Then return to squealing again.

Re: Serpentine tensioner

Sounds like you need a new belt. I've had good luck with gates and dayco
