Hi guys,

I have a 2005 civic ex automatic. I bought it last summer as my first car.

So the problem with this car is that it drops the Rpm to around 500 and the engine shakes at low rpms. Sometimes it stops and speaciialy if you put the ac on at idle it will start to rattle

Last time i got it checked and it seemed thst the oil wss getting into the coils so i changed the coils the valve cover gasket the o rings for spark plugs etc. And it got good.

Then what happened that the water pump leaked and i needed to get it changed. So they open the valve cover then the timing cover and changed the water pump.
When the mechanic was tightening the valve cover , he accidentally tightened it too much that the screw holding end on the cam got ripped off. I got it fixed with silicone since i couldnt get it done right costs too much money.

Now the car again has the same issue and wont stop doing it. This time there is no oil in the coils no issue with the valve cover gasket and i really dont know what to be done here.

Note that there is no engine light. No trasmission light the oil is on perfect level still with would do the same thing over and over again

First check for vacuum leaks. Sounds like air could be getting in where it shouldn't.
