Re: Valve Cover Gaskets
it's pretty straightforward.. Pull the valve cover, pull the old gaskets/spark plug tube seals, replace with new stuff, apply RTV to the valve cover gasket as the manual says (pretty much wherever the valve cover gasket makes sharp bends).. When I replaced my spark plug tube seals, the old ones didn't come out without being damaged, and the new ones were a bitch to get on.

I didn't touch anything related to cam gear, timing belt, etc..
The spark plug seals were frustrating to put in.. just giving you a heads up

Re: Valve Cover Gaskets
get the valve cover gasket, it should come with small O-ring look like gaskets (for ur spark plug). thats probably what is broken and needs to be replaced.
u neeed to take ur sparkplug coils out, unbolt ur valve and just replace all the gaskets. its simple and stright forward.

Re: Valve Cover Gaskets
I agree with all of the above about the plug seals being a huge pain. There's a very stiff ring inside the outer diameter of the seal to hold it in the valve cover. With a small screwdriver try and bend that ring inwards so you have an indent, then grab and pull with a pair of needlenose pliers.
If you want they do make some special tools for doing work with engine seals... one of them looks like a dentist's pick with a hook end, thats probably the "correct" tool, but its not worth buying it just to do the job once.
