A confusing one

Hello
I am the owner of a 2001 Honda Civic EX, and i have quite the issue

Recently, i had to take my vehicle in to get two sensors replaced- camshaft and crankshaft sensors. After the repair, issues slowly got worse since day one of repair

Initially, i was losing oil. But at that time, it wasnt from my pan as i had done my oil chaoge and the leak was old oil
Under my car, my entire left side past the bolt on the oil pan was damp with oil
Also on the left, there is a weird sound whenever i release the gas. It only really happened on the earlier gears, 1-2, and didnt do it on higher gears. The sound itself can be compaired to sticking your finger in a plastic fan- we all did it as a kid, you dont forget that sound

Fast forward a few days, and i break down. Just before the breakdown, my car jerked like i hit the breaks over and over again

Then i lost speed and power. All of my parts were locked up- break and gas pedals, and the steering wheel. Both my oil and battery lights came on with no engine light

Im unable to start the vehicle, whenever i try, there is a wirring noise coming from my lef. It sounds like a belt starts to move but everything else does not

Please, if anyone knows what this is about, i would love to have any information

Thank you very much

Agreed. Suspicion on the job by the shop for installing the sensors properly. They sit super-close to the timing belt. One of those comes loose it will grind up the timing belt. A previous post had this happen if you search around.

Gotta open it up and look.

Re: A confusing one

and that finger in plastic? Could might been the belt parts hitting the plastic case.
Sudden engine halt sounds consistent with snapped timing belt and valves crashing into pistons
