Damn pan

EDiT: this post answers the question:

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...n-removal.html

i took off 16 nuts and bolts and it still didn’t budge. One more was hidden and buried crammed in behind what I think is the transmission shift cable, which required me to removed the cable as well as remove a bolt holding on the tin metal cover over what is basically the beginning of the transmission to make barely enough room to get a 1/4 drive socket in there which got stuck. No idea how I’m gonna get that nut back on later.?

But i got that last nut out and the pan is free but getting hung up someplace. I just can wiggle it out. Not the exhaust pipe but something g internal. I can’t figure how to totally remove the Tin cover on the trans, it’s loose but won’t come out elegantly but it seems to be part of the problem.

The service manual says NOTHING of any of this, anywhere.
