d16y7 oil pan stuck

hi so i'm trying to change my oil pan on my d16y7 automatic it's a 1998 civic dx and the oil pan seems really stuck..here is a recap of what i did just so you know where i'm coming from.

i removed the down pipe on the exhaust to better gain access to the oil pan bolts.

i removed the engine stiffener (the bracket between the engine and trans) to gain access to the oil pan bolts

and i also removed the torque converter cover just to get it out of the way.

I removed all the nuts and bolts on the oil pan (10 nuts and 8 bolts is that correct?) and whacked it with a mallet yet it still won't come off. i guess i was holding back a little for fear of damaging the oil pan. should i just go to town on it?

any tips?

EDIT: also does anyone know the torque specs for the torque converter cover

Re: d16y7 oil pan stuck

After you remove that bracket, the service manual says just remove the bolts and nuts and it will come off. The torque when re tightening them down is 8.7 lb*ft or 12N*m
