trans linkage get to oilpan
trans linkage get to oilpan
I am attempting to tackle the dreaded oil pump seal. I need to take the transmission linkage off in order to take off the small plate that is over the flywheel, so I can reach the couple of bolts holding on the oil pan. I am not sure how to remove the linkage. Any help out there? My Chilton's manual mentions nothing about this when removing the oil pan. 2005 LX Automatic.

remove covers and unbolt the cable housing anchor and look at what you have to deal with.
It is probably just a bolt with a lock plate, you use a screwdriver to (smack it) the folded side of the lock away from the bolt head so there's room to put a socket on it. Remove bolt, linkages then should slide right off
