Idles after ECU reset until next car start
Re: Idles after ECU reset until next car start
yep! 2004 Honda Civic Si Hatchback 2.0L.
I ended up finding a tiny crack on the nipple of the EVAP Purge Valve on the TB. That combined with the CIL Code before saying that valve was stuck open made me think it was causing a vaccum leak. Took the EVAP Purge Valve off and plugged the hole with my finger. It FINALLY stopped bouncing the idle!!! So I ordered a new one thats coming in a few days. For now I wont drive it i guess. However, even when the idle doesnt bounce its staying at a steady 2,000 RPM(thats what it was bouncing up to before.) Could it be as simple as doing a TB Relearn procedure ive read about to get it to learn how to idle without the vacuum leak now?

Re: Idles after ECU reset until next car start
FINALLY got the part and installed it today. It idles lower, but its still bouncing. Gonna replace the IACV and TB gasket tonight since I ordered those too. Ill reply with an update later.
