still with the idle surge

Ok I replaced the sparkplugs, air filter, cleaned the iacv valve, put on a new tps sensor, set the idle, and did the idle learn procedure. My 1995 civic vx still has the idle surging and a studder at the pedal. Does anyone have any other ideas it also does not have a ftiv valve. I'm stumped

Re: still with the idle surge

try tightening your throttle cable a little bit. you should be able to smooth it out that way. its worked numerous times for me. as longas your sensors are good.

Re: still with the idle surge

I'm pretty sure to check if your IACV is bad, you have to take off your intake to the throttle body and plug the little hole inside the TB(the one closest to where the IACV is) and if your car idles fine then your IACV is probably bad.

I know you checked for vacuum leaks, but just in case, while you have the intake off, put your hand over the throttle body opening. If the car DOESN'T die, then you may have a vacuum leak because of the TB gasket.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
