I have a 2004 Civic EX Sedan (Automatic) with 187000 miles. I have a check engine light on. I originally got a P134 and P135 code indicating that the upper O2 Sensor (Bank One) needed to be changed. I changed out the O2 Sensor, but the check engine light will not go off. I've cleared the codes and run the drive cycle several times, but the check engine light turns back on several minutes into the drive cycle while the car is warming up. Recently, I unhooked the battery for 5-10 minutes to reset the computer. Again, the check engine light turned on as I was doing through the drive cycle. When I checked the codes this time, I am getting a P1157 and P135. A Honda mechanic told me that since I removed the battery, the vehicle needs to go through the idle learn procedure. I tried this procedure this morning and still no luck after driving the car 30 miles to work. Any thoughts?

What O2 sensor did you instal? Brand and part #?

234-9017 is a Denso part number, and is not the correct one. you want 234-4122
