Engine in Safety Mode...AGAIN

Hello,
Haven't been here in a while. Replaced my Cam Position Sensor about a year and a half ago and apparently these 01 EX models (or maybe all of them) hate what's not OEM. Before I purchase a part and run into this P1361 and P1362 error AGAIN I was wondering if anyone knew the OEM numbers for this part for sure? Simply so I just don't have to replace this thing every 1.5 years. Looking back I probably put in a junk one. Just hoping for any recommendations on brands, etc to look for. My local advance has an NTK but I'm not sure if that will keep it happy or leave me like this again.
Sorry if this is in the wrong area. Just seemed like the issue fit here.
Any advice is greatly appreciated...sooner the better. Thank you all so much in advance!

Is there a local Honda dealership near you? That's where I'd go. I think Denso makes the OEM one. You'll be spending about $100 for the correct one.

Re: Engine in Safety Mode...AGAIN

Thank you both for the replies! Sadly even the local dealers don't have it in stock but they're able to get it for me on Tuesday. Hopefully this makes my demon car behave!
xRiCeBoYx, I do have a question perhaps you could help me understand though. How come on "aftermarket" stuff they stock in store or on various online sellers (ie RockAuto) they list that Part Number even if they're not technically OEM stuff? Is that just simply an easy way for them to catalog stuff or? Seems a bit deceptive is all...

Thanks again!

Easier to catalog. Changing numbers becomes confusing and unnecessary. In my experiences, aftermarket isn’t usually an issue. Honda is just really finicky, especially with electronics.

They’re usually easy to pick out based on price. You’re not going to get an oem one off eBay for $20.

Re: Engine in Safety Mode...AGAIN

def cataloging and/or fitment compatibility. Someone might find an OEM part number and search a site like rockauto to find it, and it'll allow "compatible" aftermarket/third party parts to populate on a search query.

Yeah, we all learned this the hard way. Any time someone says they replaced a sensor and something went screwy, 9 times out of 10, our (the mod/admin staff) first question is "OEM or aftermarket sensor?" If you get a non-universal sensor (e.g. D17A2 or at the leave 01-03 civic specific) from the OEM brand (Denso is a big one here), you'll have a lot more luck with those than you would, say, Duralast brand sensor. Universal sensors (specifically thinking O2 sensors in this case, but there may be more) tend to cause more issues than the savings are worth. That said, a lot of our responses you'll see if you search will be "grab a Honda OEM sensor and report back." To be completely honest, saying that is easier to say that than, "here's the OEM part number. The OEM brand is Denso, here's the Denso part number. Find whichever one is cheaper and try it out" since a lot more research is needed on our part. lol

Well, that, and sites like the aforementioned hondaautomotiveparts.com (and there are literally dozens of other trusted online Honda OEM parts dealers) have diagrams where you can pull up parts for relatively cheap. In my experience, if you take the list price add like 25-50%, that's the dealership price. Sure, shipping on some sites can suck, but most of the time, you'll save a lot more money if you can afford to wait. Some smaller parts (like specific bolts) or big things (where shipping absolutely kills the cost), it's more prudent to buy at a dealership. I will say, the nice thing about dealership parts is if they have to order it, they'll likely get it next day.
