I recently purchased a 99 civic ex in very good condition. When I purchased the car it had a CEL for a knock sensor bank one code. The guy I bought it from put it in writing he was going to fix the knock sensor issue. He replaced the KS and CEL went off......for all of 30 miles. Now it’s back on and he said he will replace it again with a brand new one. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue where it continues to go on and has found a fix. And is it ok to drive the car like that. Any help would be awsome. Thanks!
I found an oem at a local junkyard years back. Had to visit about four junkyards and several cars before finding an oem. I paid $10 for it and it worked fine until I sold the car years later.
Thanks for the comment! And thank you for your feed back. And yeah that’s what I’m thinking happen. And on top of that he’s going to be “FIXING” it again and he says he got it from Amazon now lol. I recently reset the code about a day ago and no light yet but I know it will most likely come back on. Car drives super nice otherwise.

Thanks bro I appreciate it. I’m having some leaking now. I’m not sure it’s from the VTEC solenoid or just the valve gasket. I posted a thread if you know anything about it. Thanks
