P1362 code civic stuck in limp mode
P1362 code civic stuck in limp mode
Alright, I'm pretty desperate for some help here. About a month ago my car was running really sluggish so I took it in had it diagnosed and was told i needed new head gasket. I get that done but the person who did it flipped out and returns my car in "limp mode". The CEL was on so I scan it and it says my crankshaft position sensor is bad so, I replace that. Try to start it up again, car is still in limp mode. Now the code reader is saying it's the Camshaft position sensor and I replaced that, but it's still showing the same code and stuck in limp mode. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am at a loss now. 2002 honda civic ex w/165k on it

P1362 is CMP sensor NO signal
Connector is not fully seated and locked in?
Do wiring voltage checks as per service manual instruction?
Connector terminal tension checks?

You paid for a head gasket job for a engine that was sluggish so that’s first issue.
Pretty much no way that would causing your issue.
Replace your mechanic...
that was my first step, however I knew the head gasket was bad well before this happened and wanted to take some preventative measures. Now I'm regretting that as the car is in worse condition than before
