2003 Civic coupe Ignition and engine

I’d appreciate if anyone has an answer on this. Part of me believes my starter is what’s bad. After trying to turn the engine over, nothing happens, engine won’t crank whatsoever. And when I try to take my key out of the ignition, it gets stuck. Can’t move the vehicle out of park either.

Sounds like what might happen if a rodent chews off the wires for TPS/starter/range switch.
Probably has a pile of fault codes too.

A defective brake pedal position switch can cause the car not to crank. Its the little plunger switch that hits a pad on the brake pedal.

would that also prevent the gear shift lever to not allow you to shift out of park? Cause that’s one of my issues too. But I’m not sure if that would have anything to do with the key getting locked in the ignition

Well I wish I could say that was the issue, but I checked it and it was fine. I’m not entirely sure what else to do
