Vtec issue with jdm swap

I have an 03 lx with jdm d17a and sxla, along with jdm ex harness and America ex ecu

car runs and shifts fine. But I red line at 4,000 rpm.

throwing a code for vtec.

i read somewhere online that jdm does not use oil pressure sensors and if you use an American ecu it will show signs of what I am getting.

does the oil pressure sensor go in to the block or the vtec solenoid?

when I look at replacement vtec solonoids it looks like it has a sensor on it.

if it goes in the block does anyone know if that’s possible a jdm engine if they don’t use them over there?
