Adjusting throttle cable

On the DIY page it doesn't say that it supposed to rev higher, only that you get better response from the throttle because there isn't as much slack there, maybe you adjusted it too far.
It should rev higher if you adjust it because it practically seems like it's stepping on the pedal just a bit. I used to do that to my old cars because they'd rev too low and would stall. I say if you know how to drive, you won't need that added slack.

Do not adjust the throttle cable your civ'. It should already be at it's tightest position. I checked mine a while ago and it already is. If you adjust it more, you will get higher idling as they mentioned...why? Because your throttle is now slightly open fulltime. Picture it as if you have your foot pressed down on the gas pedal a bit 24/7.
