It seemed like nothing was coming together with the old thread, so I'm making a new thread and trying to get everything together. Here are the details:

The meet is on Saturday, September 14th @ 1:00PM
It's gonna be a chat, show off, and do anything kind of get-together.
We'll hang around for as long as everyone is willing to chill there.

I might come down. i am gonna try and buy a used DC sports exhaust from a guy in silver spring so i will be in the area. Don't count me in just yet, gotta check with my better half.

I can bring some ramps that'll let you back your car right up, and it makes the install a cinch. (hope your car's not slammed though ). Let me know if I should bring them robb.

Ok, I'll bring the ramps. As far as tools go, just find out what size bolts your exhaust is held together with, and bring a ratchet that fits those bolts. If your old bolts aren't rusted on, then you can probably use them for the new exhaust. If they are rusted on, or if you want new bolts, go to Home depot and pick up some bolts that fit. Your new exhaust should come with gaskets, so that shouldn't be a problem. The last thing you may want is some longer exhaust hangers, so the muffler doesn't touch the back bumper. You can get those at any exhaust shop for a few bucks. To recap:

A ratchet that fits your exhaust bolts.
Possibly a hack saw if your old bolts are rusted badly.
New bolts if you want them, (with nuts and a washer).
Gaskets, if not included with your new exhaust.
Longer exhaust hangers.

Hey Rob, say the word and I'll bring my hydraulic floor jack and jack stands too, in fact, it'd be better to have both jack stands and ramps cause then the whole car will be lifted off the ground, ya know[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG]

I have a reasonably comprehensive set of ratchet sockets and combination wrenches (read: I am almost guaranteed to have at least one socket/wrench to fit your exhaust bolts) and 3 different sizes of ratchet extensions including a universal-joint adapter that I'd be happy to bring. other than what theguysmiley said about the gaskets and new bolts, I think that'd be all you need to install that baby

I would think that it'd also be good to bring some WD-40 cause who knows how stuck on those old exhaust bolts will be. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

yeah, so far most of the ppl from the previous thread have not responded whether or not they're coming...Kevin's been buggin them lately [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] but i think i will now too cause it'd be nice to have more ppl

Good deal, it looks like we're starting to get a few people added to our list. If anyone has an installation they're working on, feel free to save it until the meet. And if you need anyone to bring tools, post what you need and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.

- Does anyone want us to bring food, or should we just chill at the park? (I'll bring a 24-pack of Sprite)

- If anyone knows how to get a hold of superstar19, let him know about the meet.

i have a good deal of tools that in can bring if anyone has an installation to do...just lemme know.

i think we could bring some food, maybe go to the park you spoke of, then grab some grub and either chill there or cruise around the area...i think it'd be fun to just cruise around, and since it'll be a relatively small (or very small[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]) group we wont likely get seperated[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

Tyson's Corner is a little bit south of DC. There's actually a Tyson's Corner exit off of 495, so that should make it sort of easy to find. I'm AWFUL at giving directions, so if someone could help him out that'd be great [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] .
