How many of you benefit from sunroof or convertible?
How many of you benefit from sunroof or convertible?
So I've been driving the Civic SI 2 door since 2019. At the time, having that sunroof looks good. But all these years, every time I open the sunroof:
a) I feel like I'm being cooked
b) can't see the panel such as CD player panel as the sun blocks everything
Now, there is no full convertible for Honda, but if there were, is there any real benefit on it? Or is sunroof / convertible just for show?

This 100%. It was nice to have in my 2002 EX. Definitely was a lot warmer in the car if I had the moonroof shade pulled back during those hot summer months.
When I got my 2018, I wanted a Sport Hatchback (in MT, but I settled on the CVT) because I prioritized the hatch body style first, MT 2nd (which, after test driving the CVT and my dire need for a car at the time led me to settle for no MT), but didn't want leather seats (bc it's a death wish in Vegas), and I wanted the Sport trim styling and the small bump in performance over the LX and EX trims. I was perfectly fine with the lack of a sunroof.
I'm not a convertible person myself, but I don't mind the look of them. Motorcycle fulfils the "wind rushing past me as I drive" thing, despite being covered from head to toe in gear. lol

My biggest gripe with convertibles is I don't fit in them at all. Was going to buy an S2000 but there was no chance of fitting, so I bought the next logical step.
Most vehicles with sunroofs are the same problem. Besides big trucks or SUV's, my head is barely clearing the roof, so I had to slouch a bit. Messed up my back for a while too, all for something that I never used.
I understand I may be an anomaly, but I'm not that tall.
