Official: 8th gen civic thread (UPDATES on first post)
atleast its a concept. i doubt its going to make it to showrooms looking like that. the headlights are like a wannabe TSX and the rear is an accord coupe haha. god hecka ugly. they should have just updated the look of the 99-00 Si coupe. didn't Honda reliaze that was the hottest civic they ever made? now everyone you see is salvage cause people ripped off the front ends and took the engines for there hatchbacks :/
I spent 1425 points to do this.

If the new Civic (and SI for that matter) is something ala a RSX, it's going to reach the $20k+ range and Honda isn't going to have much to offer on the low-end.

So pessimistic...
That's okay. A lot of people were quick to judge and dismiss the 200hp rumors. Looks like I'm gonna get a Civic Si to replace the RSX-S... Wow, I never thought I'd consider using my 2002 RSX-S as my winter beater... The Civic's LSD owns...

On another note, Is it me or on the side shot, did you guys notice how much it resembles an accord from the door to the back of the car?

I'm wondering if the simple mods like the ITR swaybar mod is going to work. I hope the RSX's ES Motor Mounts work too.

come on it's not like it's a neon.At the moment, the 7th Gen Civic feels like the RSX-S little brother (if you're not looking at the releases chronologically). I don't want to see the Civic get beat up by the other cars. I'm glad the Civic's finally grown-up.
A Honda is a Honda and an Acura is, well, a Honda. I have no doubt that the new Civic will share a lot of the RSX's components, more-so than the 7th gen.

In regards to there not being any door handles on the concept...
Do it up Dukes of Hazzard stylez!

probably a safety thing anyway that they need to have standard door handles.

I saw the pictures from the 8 gen. civic. People I am there. I am going to put my 1998 honda civic to the sell to buy this. I have a add, the mention a 250 engine. This is true? And should be from 20.000 euros. But you guys be my guest to find out. I will post my car pictures with a small format.

This information was provide from the magazine in the picture that i send. But, if the engine is the same from k20, a swap is probable. And if you see with some detail factor, i think i has a glass roof; and does not have a door handle. COOL
=)

/\/\ there are three things that are likely:
1. The glass roof will not make it to the production si. A sunroof is likely tho.
2. The production si WILL have door handles.
3. I doubt that very many people will understand your posts.

I think there are variations of the glass roof concept that are legal but they have some serious reinforcement. The scion has a pretty big sunroof and the mb 320 i think has almost a glass roof (huge sunroof).

The current Si also has 5-lug.

1. All cars have sunroofs now-a-days.
2. All OEM cars have door handles.
3. You sir, are correct.
