As a teaser to the assembled journalists, the Honda reps played a soundtrack of the Civic Si's engine being wound out as the driver blasted up through the gears. Judging by what we heard, and the claim by Honda that this was essentially a production setup, there won't be a need to make any mods if you like a full growling exhaust note.
i posted that ^^^^ honda themselves said that they have tuned the exhaust and they let the press hear it apoligizing that no1 can drive it yet

i didnt feel like reading through a million pages to see if this has been posted yet but- heres a link to a bunch of crystal clear high resolution pics of the new si.
I don't know if this is a repost but here is the link to some pictures of the 8th Generation Civic that some guy took while he was at the auto show.. 8th Generation Pictures

ugghhhh i dont like that wiper set up... although if you think about it its more effective i suppose when your whippin around turns you can see through the corners of the windshield which helps alot. plus if the center of the windshield gets dirty it block sun lol... good benefits but so ugly when they are running ...
I like the New 2006 SI concept but I dont like the Accourd coupe backend, I like the back end of the spy shot CRX.
I think I would still buy the Acura RSX type-S over the SI simply because the SI coupe doesent have hatchback utility, and since there is no interior shots makes me wonder how good the interior will look.

judging on the exterior relative to the acuras and hondas out now... id guess that maybe the interior will be tight fit with some brushed aluminum inlays... actual metal not just silver painted plastic like b4.

Talking about the next generation Civics. I just happen to find out Derek, our CEO of 7thGen, has purchased the www.8thgencivic.com domain. I think everyone is looking forward to welcoming the new generation Civics!

No offense, but thats only been mentioned 1000 ^ 100 times
This is certainly a beautiful car. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I was was contemplating whether or not to buy another Civic, but these pics have changed my mind. Hope Honda gives this 'Vic more power. I wouldn't mind paying close to $20K for it. By the way, when will it be available for purchase? Didn't quite get that yet.

Not til almost the end of this year. I still don't know why they made the hood black. It's gonna look like a ricer car from far away.
