If there limited to that HP there is no competion really. The 06 civic has much better brakes than both those cars. The Scion TC is quite a bit heavier than the rsx type S and the cobalt ss has a semi-independent rear suspension.
If the 06 civic si is atleast as good as the current rsx type S its already better than those two cars.

DAMN can you say, mini ME????
nice comparisons.
see how the accord coupe looks souped up to the production version? same story it would be for the civic SI coupe. although, i highly doubt they would change drastically because the accord pretty much stayed to its concept design, just watered down a lil. either way, i like what HONDA did.

Hopefully it doesnt end up being an overweight Pig... Like most imports today. Take the TC... i like the way it looks, I like the HP and Torque #'s... I hate the fact that it weighs 2905+LBS!@!!!!
Give me a civic Si, that has those #s (200 Hp ect ect ect...) and weighs no more then the current EX 2550 or so LBS (Lighter would be preferable.)

"Of course, the Si is about more than just the styling. That's why this concept boasts a 200-horsepower 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC engine, the most powerful motor we've ever put in a U.S. model Civic.
Of course it is a little too early for you to test drive this car, but we thought we would give you a taste of what it would sound like .....Not the kind of engine note that you expect to hear from a 4 cylinder Civic... huh?"
I want to hear what it sounds like lol.

People complain about the 7th gen being this and that, frankly its annoying sometimes. Look at Zzyzx he has a 7th gen with no engine/drivetrain mods what so ever. He still tearing it up with the 7th gen ex coupe at those Auto X events.
The car is relatively priced well
The coupe has nice styling
The suspension is set up quite well
Easy to maintain the car
And it accelerates to 60 quickly
Light and nimble easy to drive
Sporty feel
Good Transmission
you don't need 200 hp to have fun at the race track.
Sure the 1/4 mile time isin't great but if that is so important I'm sure with some good tires youll make a nice improvement. High 15 seconds times are decent if you can attain them.

Anyhow do you think the release of this car will drive down the price for used rsx type S's, k20a's and aftermarket parts for the 7th gen?
The brembos on the civic are said to have 4 pistons calipers. Are the ones on our ex civics 1 piston or two?[/QUOTE]
LOL!!

its sweet for sure but what im wondering is why they havebrembos and lsd and it has less hp than the rsx. i wonder what the new engine code is. might be a detuned k20z, then again what if its a k20a2 with lsd. i wonder if the 06 rsx is gettin lsd too.
hopefully it doesnt weigh more than the current rsx. but either way i think im gonna start saving for a down payment. its obvios its a car with great potential.
