2K1Civic17"Gabe is an unknown quantity at this point
my car doesnt beep. I have never heard it, unless I dont remember and it doesnt work anymore?? I only have a beep from my lights being left on. Other people do stupid things in neighborhoods. There are 2 kids in my neighborhood who thinkthey are cool. One in a older sentra (97 or 98) with 15 " chroms fugly rims,a nd another with an Explorer. They race around the neighborhood at all times,a nd they play some stupid game where they try to find each other. They were each going the opposite way around a corner once where I was driving, and they both had to slam their brakes on, and both of them skidded with no control whatsoever, and luckily didnt hit my car, anybody or anything else.. It was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I constantly see the sentra racing by himself at 50 in our neighborhood full of kids bumping his stupid eminem. I hate little kids. The point is, no matter how far it is, other people drive like an a**, and you never know when they will come flying around the corner and hit you.

I can tell when he is like 1000 ft away from his distorted eminem EVERY TIME. So I stand at the edge of my driveway and stare him down. He gets a little freaked out, so maybe he should slow the hell down before he gets an *** whoopin

No one is forcing you to do it. Thrashing the guy because he doesn't want to wear his seatbelt is just a way of showing synocism. If people are gonna thrash other people for that then we all might as well thrash eachother for deadly, and illegal I might add things such as speeding, street racing, and stupid things like tinted windows. But, we all do it, so, showing a side of hypocracy isnt exactly the correct thing to do. For this message, Im gona go ahead and throw in a quarter. .27 for me homie.

Edit: And personally, if you feel like going ahead and starting an argument with me, then I can gladly accept a personal message. All were doing here is whoring the thread.
But did I not post up instructions on how to disengage the beeping sound?
I have an 04 coupe, and when ever i just wanna cruz around I have to wear my seat belt or the ufcking thing starts beeping at me. neway it drives me nuts so does neone know how to disengage it???
He asked how to turn off the beeps. I gave him the answer, and regardless of the tone, the answer I gave does give instructions on disabling this admittedly annoying sound. But I agree, we are now whoring this thread. I don't feel like starting an argument over this because yes, we're both expressing our personal opinions. We can let it lie right here, I've said my piece.

Just buy a buckle from junkyard and leave it in. Easiest solution.

Whoa you guys took my thread way to far.

I just wanna say that I am perfectly aware why the beeper is there, thank you, I just wanted a way to shut it off. I am very aware of the legality of the situation and I am not lazy

I appreciate your guys concern for my safety, but I always were my seatbelt when going on streets above 60 km/h. Its just sometimes if I’m taking a quick SLOW ride I don’t wear it.

And to all of you who say not wearing seatbelts can kill you, your wrong, speed kills. Yes we’ve all heard of stories of people who died, and it is said to be from not wearing their seatbelts, but its also common for people to burn to death in cars because they were trapped in by a seatbelt!!!!

Basic fact, not wearing \ wearing a seatbelt is a simple health behaviour. but how many of you guys smoke, drink excessively, do drugs, don’t exercise, drink and drive, street race etc…

And then I get lectured for not wearing a seatbelt WTF, you guys wanna talk about morals, you guys teach young kids to modify their brakes and suspension systems. Is that safe for a kid to roll down the high way and have his ufcking wheels fall off and cause a forty two car pile up cuz he read some faq on this site and thought it would be cool to work on his own car.

This thread started out as a simple question, but I think its raised some interesting question about how important our safety is too us.

Thanks nimostreets21 for the answer, I also appreciate everyones concern

I also agree with Telly.
One of my best friends went face first through a windshield about 10 years ago, from not wearing a seatbelt.
