Because they are performance oriented parts that take up more space and why they did it was the 9th generation was made in a recession and unfortunately this is one of the ways Honda cut the cost majority of ppl don't know or care they switched only 5% of civics are sold with the manua.. my Fg1 rocks a 2x wishy I wld drive no other...
