i installed mine under the dash on both sides.. just screwed them into those plastic pieces thats down there.. took about 10mins to plan out.. another 10 to install.. my wiring right now is thru the cig lighter, but im goin out to radioshack tomorrow get a switch. so add another 5-10mins to that.. difficulty rating: 1
its hard to see in this pic, but thats the best i could do
i was just thinking this... since i post so much in this thread, should i be a super member already? or does regional forums dont count like off topic?

I think posting here counts...It always did before...
If you can when its light out...post a pic of where u mounted em...plus...I can't tell from the pic...do they light up the entire floor...and can you see it from the outside when u have em on...like if i was driving a cop could tell i have em on...and pull me over...???
just curious....

ok i can explain where its mounted:
driver side
the plastic piece above the pedals that can be taken off.. on there, all the way to the back
passenger side
plastic piece under the glove compartment.
adapter
inside the center console all the way in the back..
as for seeing for the outside, i have no clue.. i dont think ppl can see unless its in a higher car, or if the door is opened
and yes, it does light the entire floor (not in the back seats obviously)

I have four neon tubes under my seat right now but they are not too bright so i am installing a neon license plate frame under each seat so i can get a better glow and a glow all the way around. The four neon tubes will most likely end up under my dash to light that up nice. As for hardwiring, it is simple. I have mine wired to my cig lighter. As for drawing too much power, if you go to street glows web site they tell you what they pull and i think like a 20" tube only draws .5 amps. I should get mine thie weekend or next week and after I install them I will take pics if we have not met by then. I am not sure when I will have time to install them but I will let you know when I do.

oh, thats not a bad idea.. at first when you said neon license plates, i wondered to myself "WHY?!?!?!" but now, i get it..
and for my hardwiring, i did the same as bobby today.. hooked it up to the cig lighter and installed a switch on the switch panel next to the cig lighter.. looks pretty darn good (so my friends say..)

I went with orange neons cause i hardly ever see orange and all my interior lights are orange so i thought i would stick with it. If i do an underbody kit eventually it will not be orange though. Stylin, the cheapest place I found the neons was JcWhitney so you might want to try them for underbody kits. If you all want to see a pic of my button i installed for the neon just look at the pic in my profile of my shift ****, you can see my red square button next to the cig. lighter.
OH! i went to bishop park tonight after pool and it was soooo packed with cars. mostly a bunch of riced out junkers though with a few exceptions and some dumb biiiiatch almost backed into my ride and the cops out numbered the cruisers but they where just patrolling not harrassing. YET. Later all!

i was going to stop by bishop today, but i instead installed the switch for my neons.. and my friend got his 1974 Volkswagen Transporter (hippie van) back from the shop, so we went to A&W's on west jefferson.. so i ended up not havin time to stop by bishop.. i knew i should've stopped by there.......

Too early for that I guess. But welcome to xceedspeed. It is a pretty cool place. Also hit up the xceedspeed AOL chat room from their start page. A lot of cool people there.
xhotex Saturday does not look good for me. I am going to get my oil changed, get my sub enclosure, MAYBE go get a monster cap for my system, and i am helping my cousins cut down about ten trees on my buddy's property. Maybe i will see you out tonight if i do go out (depending on rain)
See ya all later!

haha...gotcha bobby!!!
btw guys...just finishing putting my seats and carpeting back in...I just finished putting two layers of RAAM mat on the firewall and the floor of the car...It should be pretty nice...
Oh...and the other mod for the day...took my revo shifter...and cut 2.5 inches off the stick...oooh...can't believe how short the throws are now...I think I might invest in the bushing upgrade too...for only 20 bux...to switch out the plastic ones and put in those other...may be worth the shot...
I am going to the pistons game...but i might drive down and c if anyone is still out by murrays...if its nice...and its around 11pm...and you're out there...don't leave!...I'm coming!!!!

I love it...alot cleaner between gates...U can tell the sloppyness is gone...
The metal bar that sticks up...that u attach the **** to...I just lopped off 2.5 inches with a hack saw...easy as pie...but make sure your shift **** can fasten tight without the threads on the shifter...

OK, well rain sucks but at least Spring is here!!!!!! I wanted to head up to Murray's on Woodward tonight but I was rained out. I think I might go next Friday depending on if I am in the house and what needs to be done. Well I got a new coupler/rubber hose thing where my intake clamps to the throttle body cause I hate my yellow one. I just ordered a black one from hose techniques and it came today. I hope I have my neons tomorrow so I can install them Sunday! My car will be grounded Sunday cause my dad is taking my intake to work to weld a broken bracket and I am too lazy to put the old back on. Later all!
for people in downriver.. tomorrow, at the Truck Stop on West Road, across from the I-75 North entrance ramp.. 10am~12am(i think..) is a DDR competition.. DDR=Dance Dance Revolution. and Wojo from this thread is going to be in it. so me n my friends are ganna go up there and check it out.. if any of you is interested, just park somewhere that is obvious so we can have a "mini-meet"
well it seems like im sick... got a fever, and my left eye is red n puffy.. so im goin to the hospital now. hope its not too bad.. this is ganna put me out of cruising for a while

Probably just pink eye or something like that. Hope you get better dude.
As for me, I got my sub in its new enclosure and it kicks so much harder and cleaner now...was a very good investment!! After I get into this house, I think I am going to head over to Belle Tire and see this guy about wheels. Last year he quoted me 900 bucks plus tax on a set of 17" Quantum Teks with Yokohama rubber. I want to see what he can do now if I go 16". I hit too many dang pot holes and drive through too mnay construction sites to risk fOOkin' up a set of 17". But I can always change my mind. I know everone preaches 17" or bigger but I think 16" look good too. Talk to you all later.

as for the tires, i'd go with 16's too cuz 1. its michigan roads..(nuf said there) 2.cheaper 3.17's and up seem too big on civics for me.. if you get a good deal somewhere, lemme know.. i wanna get 16's one day
