man, im going to have the stocky-est (is that even a word?) car i need more money and more warm weather!!

for the time being, i bought 35% static tint stuff from wal-mart today. im ganna attempt to put them on tomorrow maybe. hope it turns out decent. but once i get enough money, im ganna take it to get it professionally done. im mostly doing it cuz 1. i want tints 2. see if i get hasseled by the 5-0 3. expierence gain..

EDIT: i posted a pic of my engine after i painted the tie-down, fuse box, and valve cover(i think thats wat its called.. correct me if im wrong) check it out n lemme know wat you think. woof woof

So I've hit a snag!!!!!!!!!!

Tommorrow I'm shellin out 230 for a new windshield....I went into the dealer and two of em came out to look at the glass...they looked...laughed...and said..."we don't even do the windshield replacement here, but even if we did, we wouldn't fix that...!"

I'm pissed...I know a big rock hasn't hit the glass...Unless someone steals my car at night...runs down rock roads behind semis and then parks the car where I left it...I'm S.O.L....

Stylin...sorry to say it...but 400 isn't coming too soon....maybe a month or so...just lettin u know...Adios yo'z...

I mentioned the bulletin...and the woman said it's not what's up with my car...the ones affected have cracks starting in the corners of their windshields...Mine is at the middle bottom ...pretty much centered down almost at the hood...

ahh well...phhhhhhhhhuck!

Mine was $185 for all the windows...Lifetime warranty and they did an awesome job and tinted throught the third brake light instead of doing the cut around it thing. Got it done at Auto One up on Dix in Lincoln Park just past K-mart!

My insurance does cover it...but the type I have costs less...but has a higer deductible...its is 500...and the work will be only 230...so its outta my pocket...

I know a place in troy called sunshade that will be around 175-200 for all windows cept windshield...or like 100-150 for the back 3...It is lifetime warranty against fading, bubbles...or any defects...for the life of the car....

hope this helps...

Some word of advice if you plan on fixing your ride up! do it right the first time just don't settle for some thing cheap just for now. save your money and buy what you really want and get the quality that you and your car deserve's and won't regret ...fixing your car up can be an expensive hobby plus its a dog eat dog world a lot of PPL judge your car when they look at it trust me i compare my car to alot of other cars that gives me modavation , maybe thats why i keep coming up with so many diffrent ideas on how im going to fix up my ride, sometimes i challange my own self man do i hate that!.

Hotex I say go for the SRI since you started on your engine bay already. but then again it seems you already made your decession when you claimed that our civics arent fast, so why add any engine mods. The sole reason for adding these engine mods is to add horse power. yeah I know for looks too

yea i agree on doin it right the first time.. big mistake on the cheap tint i picked up.. luckly i got to return them after i cut a lil off from the roll.. and if i get injen, its a lil both for show and go. makes it look/sound nice, and adds some HP.. so its a tough decision. but with my opinion with exhaust is show.. just makes it look nice and sound different from all over civics.. i think it adds show more than go..

U guys know just a muffler(not full cat-back) that sounds decently deep...I know I won't get really any power gains w/o doing a cat-back...but I just want it for looks...and a low sound...I don't want a weed wacker sound...Any suggestions on a muffler...

That place rocks too! My cousin is a mechanic there.

What do you all think of this box for my subs? Subs I have one 10" JL right now in a truck box and I was going to have a new box made this weekend but now I am thinking of using the dual 10" Jensens for bigger boom. What do you all think? Thanks!

Don't use Jenson speakers...you will regret it!!! Save up a little and get better stuff...I just don't like their product...

I might have to go with the same deal as u and get that muffler...

What if i went with the box and when the jensen's went kerplunk then bye some good ones to replace them? My cousin does not deal he is just a mechanic. Yes, i think joe is the owner though. 40 bucks is not a bad price at all. it cost me 65 bucks to get mine done at midas. quality muffler was too busy the day i decided to do mine.

EDIT: Forget about the Jensens...LOL...I just got off the phone with this guy that builds custom boxes and he is going to build me a custom portd box for my single JL 10" and he said he will be able to make it hit harder and deeper than the box it is in now. So I am going Friday to give him a deposit. This guy did my cousins box....it has two 12" kickers and the thing hits so hard that it makes his cd player skip when you got it up loud. That was insane.
