Guys we got to realize keeping your engines and trying to make them faster is a dead end road. We are all better off just making your 7th gens our stand out in a crowd low end proformance daily drivers and buying up a 6th gen a droping a b series engine in it and then we wont be getting killed my turbos and tommorrows supercharged or v6 civic killers. I dont know about you guys but I got haters all the time trying to race and I know we have a decent car but I cant keep up with the cars I want to. We the gude package we are going to gain more top end power. And the bad part about changing stock you got to change everything else too. Thats new ecu or engine management more fuel and ignition to cope with your high compression ratio. New clutch, and we are still not going to touch the supercharged be series. I dont know why honda gets rid of the sohc all togethor and just sell the hx to all the guppy grocery getters.

Is that why you have intake and exhaust on yours?

Personally, I am not out to beat vettes and v8s, v6s, or really any car for that matter. Trying to make the car faster is like a hobby and increases my enjoyment behing the wheel. I don't need 400whp for that. Oh, and I certainly don't need some snazzy car attracting a lot of attention by looking sporty and fast, but isn't.

45Whhp is VERY beleiveable for a ported head and cams...depands on the lift and duration of the cams though...to have that kind of Gain, Idle would definately be affected....

45whp is believeable for a D16Y8 or something, but our D17 engines do not respond to aftermarket equipment very well. IMO all of the power is in the ECU, if someone can chip their ECU and find the right combo I think we would be set. It seems the D17 is setup to be much more fuel efficient than the D16's, and that is where the lack of power is.

I was trying to give Gude the benifit of the doubt by figuring the 6G would be better, sounds like a overall crappy company.

There's quite a few other threads that stopped without anyone giving a final update. When people find soluitons or not, they really ought to let us know.

And I think it's time for some freaking performance threads, and less rice crap.

(no offence to those of you who like your rice )
