Rep Power: 0 I have faith in Gude. Bill has never let me or any of my other race team members down when it comes to producing N/A power. I had one of his race cam (very rough idle) in my old CRX SI back in 1994 and I went from a 16.1 to a 15.2! All my buddies were running gude cams , head, throttle bodies, headers, in their 89-91 Civics and CRX SI's and we were all in the mid to high 14 second bracket.
Gude has a great reputation, he has always helped us with any problems we encountered. Hell, one time my friends Gude cam was pretty much out of tolerance (burnt) due to all the track racing and when he went to buy another Gude cam, Bill gave him a new one for free!
This guy knows his shiet! He's been producing power from Hondas since the 80's. Oh and you know that bronze 2k1 Civic that Honda had out in display at SEMA which produces 170HP? That's a Gude head that's generating all that power. Honda stated that they are going to offer it as a performance package in the near future.
It maybe a faulty head or poor install and not the design. Whatever the case maybe, I know Bill will provide the best customer satisfaction to resolve any problem or doubt of his product.

Rep Power: 0 oh just to let you guys know, all you get in the package is the head thats been worked on, the regrinded cam, and the new throttle body. They port the intake manifold because its plastic and if they were to try and port it would just melt.

Rep Power: 0 I cant wait to see a dyno. I still bet it wont be even close to 40whp, oh well, i guess its ok to hope. I bet 15-20 hp.
Sorry if i offended anyone, you guys all tag teamed a few of us and slammed our opinions, because we had some doubts about this 'super 40whp package'. Hopefully this gives motivation to prove me wrong, so then I can buy it.

Rep Power: 0 oh I dont doubt that I wont get 40hp to the wheels but I wanted to see because I am desprite to get more out of my car. Even if the head doesnt work out, its time for a turbo. Ill be happy if I can at least beat the new si because I paid 16000 for my car and about 3500 with bolt ons, tires and rims, and the head package when my friend who got a new si paid 20700 for his. Rep Power: 0 no what everyone is talking about is that if you call up gude, they "guarantee" 45hp to the wheels with their head package. I even talked to Mike Gude about it because thats who took my order. Now, if you put the head package on and then get it dynoed and it doesnt produce 45hp to the wheels, trying to get your money back or even sueing them isnt worth the time or money . . . .

Rep Power: 0 Don't lose your cool. Contact them after you Dyno your car... still not showing what you were promised. Call them. Tell them about the vtec thing, and the shavings.. just give them your complaints. They've been in the import world a long time. They'll take care of you. I don't have the package myself.. but the cam i got from them is badass.. especially for a regrind. Let me know what you hear.

Rep Power: 0 Did VeNoMsCiViC ever install his? I missed it if he did. So he and Jhonda are the only two who have it still? And Jhonda has to wait for a new one. So we haven't had anyone install it and use it for a while?

Rep Power: 0 cant wait to see the results. I have no comment for Gude or anything just yet. This post is almost as good as htownscivic2k1 or whateva's RSX engine swap!
