thanks.
But, I really need a overhead shot of the undarkened area.
If someone hace a digi cam and post a pic that would be great.

Thanks blouisgod. If you find more post them.
The first one you posted would be one of the easier ways to do it.
The Strut bar that they use has a mount that comes out some.
You can make a bracket and secure it where the NUT and the bar meet.
Then bolt that end of the damper to it and make another bracket that is "L" shaped that can be bolted to one of the bolts on the motor mount and then simply mount the other end of the damper to that and your done.
It would work But I'm not sure if the Bar could hold the constant anount of presure it might have to endure.
I'll do a chop shortly

Here is crude example, I'm at work and did a quick chop of my rantings above.
I have the Neuspeed bar which is another challange in its self
I don't thing there is enough threading to add another mounting bracket.

I think that pressure will snap that bolt in 2 really easy. I was thinking of bolting it to the strut sleave near the fender well (bolting the plate onto the sheet metal). Where can you bolt the brace to the engine?

dc5 version on an ep3.
Ive read the dampner is more feasible than urethane mounts and easier to work with. Most arent adjustable, however, spoon is making one that looks like a coilover so its fully adjustable (K- series only).

Yah, Im gonna look at the block in a few hours and see where I could mount the shock to the engine and maybe measure what length is ideal.

true less work as well. for the JDM shiznit you'll pay $200 and up for the damper
the ep3 verison made by J's and sold on www.boomplustoys.net is $244
I ment to measure yesterday but I had things to do.
Please post measurements.

OK, I measured from where there is what looks like a 12mm bolt towards the firewall on the block to the power steering hose support. That hose would have to be moved or just bend the bracket out of the way. Depending on angle, I measured 6 to 7 inches, which is, according to this conversion chart, 152mm to 180 mm.
Looking at this, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2471108094 , the end holes dont look like theyd be 12mm wide. Eh, someones gonna have to toss up 50 bucks and try.

I have another Idea
The yellow area in the pic below, I was thinking might be a good area for mounting.
question, The red area in the yellow area in the picture, Is that threaded?
I know there is hole by looking at numberous engine pics.
Can someone answer this for me I'm currently at work and cannot go check.

the two sides are threaded thats where the stock intake bolts up... the holes are not big enough.....
I wouldnt suggest bolting oon that side... either ur gonna bolt it up to the coolant system which is right there.. or ull be bracing it to the cam on the head. either of which are not a good idea

The ep3 brace looks like it bolts up to the head but Im not sure to what point. We have to bolt it up to a point that would shift or shake during acceleration to get the full effect of the brace. Any ideas?

yea the motor mount brace on the drivers side is the best spot.
that wont work for my EX though. I have an abs valve block right in that spot. Im thinking of puting it right next to the end of the cam on the drivers side and hanging the other end onto the strut housing under the two resivoir mounts. I called JHPUSA.com and they said that they were mistaken and thought I was asking about a B series, so not one there.

I am still thinking about this and Punkings idea makes the most sense. Mounting the brace somewhere on the head to a more solid piece of metal would serve to elimate most of the back and forth motion. This is because the bottom and sides of the block are secured however the top is left to kick back and forth. This is how the ep3 brace is mounted.

i dont think u relize where your actually LOOKING.... the bracket on the engine that connects to the mount is BOLTED TO THE HEAD.

. i didnt know about that.
