serious taillight problem, i'm out of ideas

i have a 93 civic coupe
recently my tail lights became really dim, like barely visible dim...and my turn signals stay lit all the time, when i have my lights on..
when i press my brakes, my tail lights go completely out and my turn signals light up brighter like my brake lights should,
also, when i have my turn signal on, the indictators in the dash start out normal but wen i press the brake to turn, they blink rapidly and sometimes my gauge lights come on when i press the brake
my driver side head light is also dimmer than the passenger sde

i have checked all the bulbs, fuses, ground wires i cannot find a problem and i am out of ideas...its probably a loose wire some where but i have run out of ideas on where to look.

When you step on the break, your tail lights get dimmer... meaning the wire that the juice is flowing to your turn signal isnt allowing enough power to go through, or the source isnt giving it enough power, the source being the wire harness that wire leads to if you trace it back from the tail light.

When you have a blinker out, your blinkers flash at double speed. If you press the break and the tails dim, your car must think there is a light out and it'll do its double fast blinking...

Solution: pull the carpet back from the taillight and trace the wire to a harness, and then the wire from that harness to the other harness. You'll find somethings loose (not plugged in all the way) or frayed or just ****ed up.

sounds to me like a bad ground. electronics go nuts when they have to "search" for a ground. your tailights might be trying to ground themselves though your blinkers for ex.

Provide a good known ground to one of the ground wires in the bulbs harness and look for changes.
With a jumper wire make an electrical connection to a needle (solder or alligator clip) and ground the other end to the car, use the sharp point to pierce the insulation of the harness grounds.

It sounds like a bad ground.
