Blew up my d16y8....

Hey there everyone, i have a couple questions and such i would like answered please and thank you. but to start heres the basis i have a 1998 honda civic si turbo, edlebrock intake aem fuel rail bleh bleh bleh iss forged internals etc. well long story short, whomever built the bottom end of this motor just caused me to have to replace it. i had a connecting rod fly through my block & oil pan...
so i have another d16y8 block now heres my big debate i am aware this all takes time and money, but i now have a 1998 civic body with no motor.
should i build up my other d16 block so that i can use my top end turboetc... or would you reccomend swapping in a bit more of a power house b16 something along those lines?
feedback would be much appreciated,
thank you,
josh

The d16's can nicely handle boost. A buddy of mine runs 7psi boost on stock internals on his y8 all day. However you have more potential from a b16b type r or even a b18c if you're that picky about that little torque increase that the b18c will bring you. Goodluck!
