Suspension
Suspension
I am new to this so bear with me. I recently put 16" wheels and tires on my 2000 civic ex coupe, and now on sharp turns or large bumps the wheels hit the wheel wells. What is the most cost effective way to fix this problem? Thanks

Re: Suspension
Well i would lower 2inches and get strut braces front and back. Then you wont have any body roll at all solving the problem.
Re: Suspension
your hitting the wheel wells on 16"s. sounds like a suspension problem to me. my brother is lowered on 17" in his 6th gen and its almost no wheel gap and he doesnt hit the wheel wells. and im lowered on 17" about the same amount on my civic and i dont hit the wheel wells.
maybe getting some coilovers or some lowering springs and shocks would help that out. Is your car really bouncy when you push down on it?

Re: Suspension
Thanks for the advice. It is not super bouncy, not more than any normal car. I did not get the right size tire, which is causing the rubbing. My tire has a larger sidewall than I was hoping for. So in conclusion the most cost effective way would be rolling the fenders? Where is a good place to get that done?
Re: Suspension
You should get different tires so that the total diameter of the wheel is not greater than the total diameter of the wheel with factory rims and tires.
No point to getting bigger rims if you're going to get thicker tires as well... it also screws with your speedometer and odometer.
