trunk leak 2000

can anyone inform me where the moonroof drains are for a 2000 civic ex 4 door sedan? i have a little water in the same spot near the front passengers feet, and also in the trunk after a car wash.

I went through the car wash yesterday with the rear seats down. Shined a flashlight back there and the leak is coming from the deck-lid flange on the right hand side. When I got home, I opened the trunk and poured some water (just a little) on the space where the bodyside sheet meal is welded to the deck inner flange and package tray. The seam is leaking. should be easy to fix. I have some urethane based glue I will try and let you know.

Re: passenger floor is wet

I fixed the leak in my trunk. There was a hole in the seam where the bodyside meets the decklid opening. Urethane sealer did the trick.

The other issue I have is water intrusion through the blower motor opening on the right side of the dash. This has only been a problem going through a local car wash. I was getting about a table-spoon of water dripping from the blower motor. I removed the cowl and replaced the foam strips that help manage water coming down the wind shield. This helped a little but I didn't completely solve it. From time to time I still get a little dripping from the blower motor. I am 100 percent certain the water is coming from here as you can see the 3 fasteners that hold the blower motor into the hvac housing are a little wet.

Here is what I planned to do next. I'm going to make a "rain hat" for over the opening. Really surprised the new foam didn't fix it.
