Question A Cap and a Distribution Block

Ok, so I have a huge distribution block, a 3 farred cap and two amps. I was wondering if anyone had any response on how these should be conencted together. I have been told to run the cap off a cable running from the distribution block, I have been told ti run the cap before my distibution block and also after my block. The one that sounds more obvious to me is running it before the block. Does anyone have any feedback they can give me on what would be the best option. Thanks a lot. I appreciate the help!

from the distro-block you can run it to the pos of the amp then ground the amp to the car. you will be fine.

Well after the block would make little sense. The reason is becuase I have only 1 cap. I have two amps. So do I connect the cap before the distribution block? Or do I connect it to one of the positives on the block?

Connect it before the block, preferably within 12 inches if your amps. (12 inches of wire length, that is. Not a huge deal though....)

I have my cap connected about 4 inches before the distro block...is that bad? Honestly i really do not feel like moving anything in my car right now...so as long as my car won't catch afire I will leave how it is if it is ok.

Thanks for the piece of mind, 'cause I don't even feel like messing with my system right now.

IDQcivic should not be trusted
I have a cap that has a distribution block built in. I have 1 4 channel amp so I run 0 guage ground/positve to the cap, the 4 guage to my amp. It is really easy. If you have more than 1 amp, just hook the cap up as if it were another amp, in parallel with everything else. I recommend getting a cap with a digital display so you can make sure your voltage doesnt drop too low when the bass hits.
