Amplifier For 6 Spekars?

Hey everyone, I have stock speakers, but I have a new 12" sub woofer. I want to get an amplifier for my front 6.5, tweeters, and 6x9. What channel amplifier do I need for 6 speakers? Also, should I get new speakers first or will my OEM speakers work well if I get an amplifier? I would really appreciate your help!

Get new speakers before you start throwing any power to them.

The factory speakers are in no way up to the task of being driven by an amp.

I would get separate amps for front, rear, and subs. That way if one goes the rest are usable till its all fixed.

Although a single amp does have the benefit of taking up less space.

yeah get some new speakers buddy. After that you'll have to decide whether to get a 4-channel amp for your mids and highs or a 2-channel? Most people say that either works fine, but I think the four channel amps do the job a little more efficiently. Not that you could really tell though. And then just get one amp for your sub. But definitely change your stock speakers, after you take them out and look at em you'll see why

you can get a 6-channel amp, but theyre fairly costly. also, definitely get some 1@#(&*!(@* speakers before you amp anything other than your subs!

I'm thinkin either some mb quart components or jl components for the front, and the coaxial versions in the back. Only need a four-channel for the cabin (just crossover the components with the unit that comes with em). Put say, a 300/4 on the speakers and a 500/1 on the sub? :urrs::

yeah, i'd get a 4 channel for the cabin and use a crossover to connect up the tweeters.. aftermarket speakers will be better though.

do ya really want to amp the back channels? i like the sound coming from the front and always fade it towards the front too. i'm running the fronts off an amp and the rear off the deck and the back is still too loud for my tastes...
