HiFonics Zeus Z4000/6000
Im thinking of getting either the Hifonics Zeus Z4000 or Z6000 to power my JL Audio XR650CSi Component Set, but when I look at pictures of this amplifier, I can't find any screw holes to mount the amplifier. I have to mount it on the back of my backseat. Is the Z6000 a good amp to run this speaker component set?

its got separate mounting feet.
its a decent amp, thats whats in the mustang i installed in last week, to power 2 sets of XR's. sounds decent, he is getting minor buzz. Have you thought about the apollo series hifonics amplifiers instead? z4000 is surely an inexpensive amp, but the apollo might be the better buy in teh long run......

So you think I should go with a 2-Ch Hifonics Apollo son of boltar and just power my rear 6x9s off the deck? Or should I get the Hifonics Son of Olympus 4-Ch amp and power my rear 6x9s that I will eventually get? The reason I ask is because I hear about people just connecting their rear 6x9s to the deck and front component speakers to a good amp, and it is still loud as hell. I would really appreciate a response, no one really seem to be responding to my posts. Thanks!
Yes, what you are saying is a very common setup. A lot of people like to go all out for the front and just leave the rear fill with the stock speakers and powered off the deck. The front speakers are all that is important for your sound stage.
Well thats what I did when I first set everything up.
Eventually after playing around for months I just decided it sounded best w/o the rears on at all.
Now I have $150 Pioneer 4-ways in the rear that aren't even on ...... grrrr ....

pull them out and let those open holes let more bass into the cabin, even better
a stage isnt a priority for everyone, tho. some prefer sound everywhere, like my buddy with 2 sets of XR's. He prefers the soundstage to be inside the head so you cant localize any origin of sound, and THAT is fairly common, too
just 2 different schools of thought, but If you can, decide what you want before you drop money on 2 rather expensive amplifiers, cause if you decide later that you dont want rearfill, or that you DO want rearfill, money might not have been spend needlessly, or have to be spent needlessly......
