Actually, the previous generation of the Mobile ES component speakers were pretty good if you upgraded the crossover. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

And no, I didnt get talked into buying them, at the time they were the best sounding $200 speaker. I'll never go back to them, but for $200, they were a good value in my opinion. It still stands that the entire XPloD line needs to do just that....explode. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

Honestly that sony head unit is fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with sony head units. And that mp70 kicks total ***. Buy what you like and don't listen to what others say.

alpine cda-9807 from crutchfield is like 280. clean deck, mp3z, easy controls, doesn't have motorized faceplate like the previous gen did (but prev. didn't do mp3z).

downside is it keeps getting it's order date pushed back [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG] but i'd take that deck over the sorny.

ide go with a jbl amp either th 1200.1 or the 600.1 not sure specs for the type-r's i could look them up but im lazy.

also panisonic or pioneer deck instead of that sony
