I took apart the dash today to fix something I didn't get right in the initial installation. The wire for the dimmer. It was color coded orange with a stripe, but that didn't match up to the wire harness I bought. It was solid orange on the wire harness. That's Metra's wire harness for the curious. Anyway, I soldered all of the connections together and used heat shrink tubing. Then I wrapped the whole thing in this clear plastic wrap. I'm proud of it 'cause it's a job well done. Now my headunit dims when I turn my lights on. I can turn that feature off too, but now I have the option of turning it on!

Me likes a lot, it's so clean. I think i'm gonna have to open her up again just do make it as pretty as yours. ( gotta buy some clips that i lost too)
