Front Speakers

Let me start by saying i dont know much about actually working on cars, i just know parts and stuff.
In leu of this i figured i should start working on my civic, so im starting small with some speakers.

I've followed some diy's and i have gotten the panels and stuff off no problem. However i wanted to know:
I have some 6 1/2 220 watt pioneers that im trying to get into there. I was just wondering if i needed another kind of adapter to latch the things on. The one that comes with the speakers is too big and because the back of the speaker is to big to actually fit into the opening i'm pretty much stuck.

Help would be much apprecited to this newb.

you need a 1/2" Speaker spacer..you can use plywood..or buy a 1/2" Speaker spacer from a local audio shop.
