does anyone know the DIY or installation of a playstation 2 in the glove box?
if you dont wanna hack your PS2, here is what you do. I assum you are runing an inverter. so you get an extension cord, all you need is 1 foot cord, so whatever you get youll be cutting it anyways.
snip it, and solder back together (or use those caps) but also throw in a piece of wire to one of the power connections. this you will put a switch on (make sure that switch cna handle 120V ac) and route that wherever you want. now yoru ps2 wont get power unless that switch is on, then you can leave yoru untouched ps2 always on, and turn on the "real" power switch when you wana play yoru ps2.

to answer the original question, i cannot giv eyou accuracy because i have no PS2 to measure with, but if it were ME doing it, this is what i would do:
personally id rather have a ps2 fit so i had access to it OPENING teh box. looking at the glove box, a PS2 wont fit like that. dremel comes out.
now teh PS2 fits in teh glovebox, and ive already make a panel for it to look all nice. but teh back of the PS2 sticks out teh back and interferes with teh desh. dremel tiem again.
there is a plastic piece there. its gone. if tehre is metal behind it (im sure there is) its gone too. no wyou have plenty of space to teh ps2 and all its accessories.
all you have to do now is clean up your mess. if you cut it exact to size, then it should look pretty hidden.
if you have exposed metal, the entire inside of teh glove comparment needs to be revinled. heatgun and FAST dry glue is the way to go.
if you dont ned to stretch teh vinyl, the 3m works great, youll be done in 20 minutes.
plug goes by the foglight switch, i dont like the idea of my passengers being able to reset my ps2 whever they please.
did i miss anything?

1. Leave your PS2 always on
2. You have to push the "on" button to fully turn it on anyway
3. Mine was mounted in my trunk, atop of my P9000R
4. The controller cords come between the 60/40 seats
5. Good luck!
