Installing second amp for highs
Does anybody know how hard it would be to install a second amp for the highs? And also is it worth it to try and do it yourself or should I pay to have somebody do it for me?
im assuming you installed the first amp yourself?? if so, installing another one would be just as easy. all you need is a distribution block to split the power cable into 2 seperate parts. not that hard. and dont forget to ground the amp at the same spot you grounded the other one, if not, you'll get a ground loop and you'll start expiriencing the "annoying" buzz. let me know if you need any other help.
might be that easy and it might not. what size power did you run for the first amp and how big is the amp. if you only have 8 gauge wire you prob can't split it. really depends on the size amps you are using. the remote you can split and the ground just needs to be the same size wire. and you may or may not need to run another RCA from the deck. depending on what deck you have you may have to split that or a pass thru on your other amp. so let us know whats up you may have things to think about here...
