Headlights

Hi,

I have a 2003 Civic and the low beam headlights quit working just out of the blue. I've checked all the fuses and all the other lights work. The actual bulbs are not that old. Anyone have an idea what's up? My little repair manual doesn't cover things like this.

Thanks

Re: Headlights

I have found other people with the same problem saying there is a recall on this issue? Anyone know about that or what the recall number is? I looked and didn't see any recall on this matter or how to fix it.

Re: Headlights

According to Honda and a local dealership I called, there is no recall on the 2003 even though I have the same exact problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Headlights

did you actually change the bulbs? if both bulbs are put in at the same time, it's reasonable that they both burn out at relatively the same time. happened to me.

Re: Headlights

Yes, make sure to double check your bulbs.

The recall deals with the terminal for the low beams at the connector going to the headlight switch (they are provided a ground path to light them)

They made some changes to the 2 bulb setups wiring on later production (added another relay and such)
