Alarm???

I have a 2001 EX with the stock alarm system. Yesterday I noticed that the alarm will ONLY lock & unlock the doors. It NO longer "honks" nor flashes the lights when I arm & disarm the alarm system.

Did anyone have these problems before?
Also were is the alarm unit (brain) installed in the car?

Thanks!!

Re: Alarm???

I just found it. Yes it is under the steering column to the left.
I wonder is it just better to buy a new brain, then paying a tech $90 an hour??

Re: Alarm???

i think its possible to reprogram yourself, i dont know where to find the procedure tho...you still have to program the new one too, and i bet a whole new brain is expensive.
