i have a 01 civic ex and when i start the car the check engine light flashes and i can hear a clicking coming from under the dash and idle surges. after a few minutes the check engine light stays on and idle levels out but tach and temp gauges dont work. when driving down the road the car dies out around what im guessing is 2500k and wont go over 50mph. im getting no signal on the code scanner. the pcm was replaced back in 07. is it possible the car is blowing computers? does anybody know what this could be or anyone thats had this problem before could u please help me out? thanks

sounds like a defective relay in the glove box area. have you checked the charging system? a bad alternator putting out too much power could fry the computer.

alternator tested out fine...the clicking is coming from one or both of the two relays behind the glove box, i know one of them is the fuel pump relay but not sure what the other one is
