l.e.d. under dash help
I got 2 9" optx l.e.d. strips as a present and want to put them under the dash like where the pedals are and the same place on the passenger side in my '04 LX sedan, but I have no idea how to do it. Can anyone shed some light on how to hook up the L.e.d. strips??
thanks

Re: l.e.d. under dash help
If they are 12v, just pull out the area with the cig lighter and use some wire taps- get a switch and feed the red wire to the power in on the switch, and put the power out to the led strips, and ground it. Mount them however you want, and your set. Just when you go to get a switch get a simple on off switch with three prongs- power in, power out, and ground. It gets tricker if you want them to come on when the doors are open and stuff like that... then you'd need a relay and have to sit down and think about it for a minute.

ALright. that sounds good, but i have two of them and they are both 12v so what do i do? i read somewhere about hooking up to the battery but i had no idea what it was talking about.
Re: l.e.d. under dash help
take out your cig lighter, and wire it up there. i ran wires over to a switch i put where my blank thing is where the fogs switch is suppposed to be (by cruise). Ill put pics up later. I have the same lights in my car, red and all. ill get some pics and guide you through it if you want. Just pm me though, it will be alot easier to get ahold of me that way

I use the color changing door handle kit in my civic hybrid and that is super slim, bright and color changing. They also fit into most areas where you can't fit a tube.
