Rep Power: 0 remove bulb in cluster for airbag and abs
i recently acquired a manual civic ex cluster off a 04 civic and i was wondering how to remove the bulbs for the abs and the airbag light. i have a 04 lx so the abs light come on because the abs is non existent and the airbag comes on because i have a momo tuner wheel inplace of the factory wheel. i pull apart my cluster and i don't see any bulbs that i can just twist off. gearbox how do i go and attempt this?

first locate the bulb and where they are then remove the cluster from your car and carefully take apart the back plastic part and were ever the light bulb are for example the srs light is on the top pry open the mother board and hosing put something inbetween so you can grip the bulb with a plier or what ever you may use to grab the bulb use a soldering gun to remove the soldering from its back and pull down on the bulb and presto no bulb repeat for next bulb ....... sorry never have camera for take pixs step by step........ and also dont worry if you thinking if the air bag going deploy or something jus jus to let you know that the air bag going still work even thoe you take out the bulb ..

i would strongly recommend against taking apart 03-05 led clusters, as it will most likely end up in the trash like mine did when the needles wouldnt go back on. and they are not bulbs inside, they are leds for the icons so you gotta break it off the circuit board. which you cant do unless you take the cluster apart. so yea, use electrical tape. worked fine for me when i covered the cruise and auto indicator dots. the trick is you put it in back of the gauge, so it blocks the light and stays hidden. use tweaser if you have to and some electrical tape. you can slip it in from the top when you have the plastic cover and bezel taken off.
