M3 power mirror wiring.
M3 power mirror wiring.
I bought a set of power mirror with LED's and I can't wire the mirror. I have the LED's working.
I need help in wiring the power mirror. My civic did not come with power mirrors so I don't have the stock wiring harness for the mirrors.
If anyone knows how to run the wires for the power mirrors and what parts I'll need, I'll be forever greatfull.
If anyone out there knows how to do this set-up, please help!!
Does anyone has a diagram or schematic, could you please post itcso I'll be able to get my mirrors working.
Thanks,

Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
My car does not come with electric mirrors so there is no switches, harness or connectors for the mirror.
I'll need to get the wires somewhere from the harness under the dash.
The repair manual hardly shows anything about power mirrors.
The wires for the mirrors are:
RED
WHITE
BLACK
The LED's were easy to install.
Still looking for help....

Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
If your car did not come with electric mirrors and you have no switch to control your new, aftermarket mirrors, what are you going to wire them to?
I may be missing something here, but you need to get a power mirror switch, the appropriate relays and completely wire in your new power mirrors. No easy task, but it possible. If you can get the mirror switch for your car (which is?) then it should just be a matter of providing 12V to the switch and figuring out the output.
This sounds easier than it will actually be.

Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
I know it's going to be hard but I have a lot of time on my hands since I'm retired.
I have an Integra mirror switch but it is different from the civics. I couldn't get it to work.
Went to a couple of junkyards but couldn't find any civics with the switches, connectors and relays.
I am also looking for an aftermarket mirror installation kit
like the ones they have for windows, locks, etc....
Thanks for the response.
I'll keep on trying...

Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
Tell you what. You find the switch and I can get you the wiring diagram on how to make it work. What year/make/model Integra did the one you have come off of. We'll start there. Cool?
Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
I don't know what year the switch is for but it is a JDM honda power folding mirror switch EK DC CD EP BB DB.
This is the only description I can give you.
The wires on the back of this switch runs straight on the connector. In the repair manual it is compatible with the integra switch.
The civic switch in the manual shows the wires go in a U type pattern.
This is all the information I have.
I hope you can understand what i've written.
Thanks for all your troubles. I hope this makes sense.

Hello again......
Well, I guess no one knows how to wire a power mirror that did not come with a switch....
Does a different type switch make that much of a difference?
Well, I guess I'll have to find the wires myself.
Thank you all.....

Re: M3 power mirror wiring.
2 motors used, 2 wires each 1 motor for up/down & 1 motor for left/right movement. Direction of movement will depend on how the + & - polarity is applied to each motor.
To use the switch you have you should have a schematic for original vehicle to determine the pins on the switch. Or a DMM, paper and pencil to draw up a layout for the pins and some time to figure it out.
Locating a mating plug for the switch, getting wiring it into the doors... ????
If you want the mirrors schematic for the 7th gen Civics to use let me know, I can send it via E-mail.

Thanks a lot for answering my e-mail.
I would be forever greatful if you could send the wiring diagram.
I have an integra switch but it is different from the civic DX switch.
I bought a switch and relay from e-bay and it should be arriving shortly.
I was losing hope but, thanks to you I have hope again.
