M3 style mirror wiring.
I ordered some m3 mirrors for my civic and I installed them into my car but, I know nothing about electronics or wiring. Can someone explain to me how I would wire the actual mirror functions(power windows) and then the LED lights for the window turn signals. Thanks.

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
For the turn signals you should have three wires: white, black and blue. Black is ground, white is the amber LEDs and blue is the blue LEDs. Grab your voltmeter/test light, determine which wire on the front turn signal is power and wire accordingly.
For the power mirrors, you should have red, white, and black on the mirror. Cut your stock wire plug off the old mirror - leave enough wire if you ever want to re-attach them - and wire it like this:
Driver's Side (Read: M3 -> Stock):
Red -> Green
White -> Yellow
Black -> Grey
Passenger Side (Read: M3 -> Stock):
Red -> Brown
White ->Orange
Black -> Pink

-Thanks, I think I accidently messed up the drivers side mirror then because I pulled out the wires and a gold prong broke... :/
-Is there another way to do the power mirrors like, getting new mirror connectors or could i cut the connectors completely and tape the cords together with electric tape??

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
All the plug does make it easy to take the mirrors on and off.
You could technically do away with the plugs completely and just wire the M3s straight in. Just make sure you note (and write down and take pics) of how the the plugs are wired up for if and when you need to go back to stock mirrors.
However, do something a little better than twisted wire and electrical tape. At the very least, twist and use heat shrink tubing instead of tape. Ideally you will want solder the connections together, but lacking a solder gun, I've been doing twist and heat shrink connections for most of my life and have never run into a problem with them.

Awesome awesome I have a solder gun so that's perfect I know exactly how to do it then. BUT can you show me some pictures of where to and how to wire the LED's I have difficulty with that aspect I know I take off my bumber and take off my headlights... But what exactly and where exactly do I wire the Led wires to. Thanks again. I appreciate the help

Fwaahhh... Pics are going to have to wait a couple days for when I install my new HG and ARP bolts, and do some welding in the engine bay. Should be Tuesday or Wednesday night. I'll try and explain it now though.
Drop your bumper and remove one headlight - passenger side is probably easiest. Put your right blinker on so you know which bulb does the blinkin'. Once you identify it, it should be a matter of tapping into the GRN/RED wire on the driver's side and the GRN/YEL on the passenger side, and then black for the ground wire.
Download the picture so you can zoom in on it. You won't be able to see it very well here in the forum.

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
Think we can get some pics of your car with these m3 mirrors? Also how about a link to where you bought them. Judging from what i've found they are nice looking side mirrors and i'm interested in buying a set.

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
They're OK but a little small. I just pulled mine back off in favor of the stockers. I'll be throwing them up for sale in the very near future. Here's what the 2nd gen M3s looked like on my Civic.

im liking the civic man very clean I finally figured out how to do the power window wiring but not the Led's yet but i have a pretty good idea of how to.

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
LOL - I should hope so! I think I've done everything but fly to Texas and splice the wires for you! Throw some pics up when you get them in.
Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
Well after about 7-8 hours of work lol sigh.. I finally got everything done BUT, I made some mistakes of course.
I did this.
LED's
Black-Black
Blue-Green
White-Red
- Now the problem with that is i wanted it to be blue constantly and amber when it blinks so NOWWW i have to go rewire them LOL bogus.
Power Windows
-Driver side- I connected the wires correct on the drivers side and everything was working great yesterday and then today BAM doesn't work wtf? lol
-Passenger side- This just aggravated me cause I tried every wiring combination possible! and no matter what i did the mirrors would always have reverse functions....
up=right
down=left
left=up
right=down
I was like WTF?!?
and now it just doesn't work so who knows....
bleh..

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
So you just have a blue and black wire? Have you taken the mirrors apart to see if the white wire is just snapped off, on or near the little circuit board?

Re: M3 style mirror wiring.
Well now that's strange. But you still have three wires going to the mirror at least. It will just be a crap shoot to determine which one controls which direction. I would try it like this.
LEDs:
Black = ground
Red = indicator
You really can't mess this up so the LED wiring should be just fine. Give this a whirl for the mirrors.
Driver's Side (Read: M3 -> Stock):
Blue -> Green
White -> Yellow
Black -> Grey
Passenger Side (Read: M3 -> Stock):
Blue -> Brown
White ->Orange
Black -> Pink
