what brand do you have?
I just bought a greenlee dm-200 on ebay.... any opinions
I used to have a nifty little radio shack one, but I can't find it, so it was an excuse to buy a nice new one

Their real name is a DMM, or Digital Multi-Meter. That's what you'll find them listed as in a store's book too. Most ignorant electricians I know call them voltmeters... only flaw with that is most of them measure in more increments than volts.

ive got the $25 sears one for at home, and a fluke at work. the sears one works great and its cheap. I just hadda replace it though because i forgot it was at the bottom of my tool bag and threw a wrench into the bag and the lcd cracked. If that happened to my fluke, i probably would have cried.
